After a day of calm on Christmas, electronics and clothing stores and other outlets across the city, including those in Timmins Square were once again filled with crowds of bargain-hunting shoppers on Sunday and Monday.

Opening at 9 a.m., the mall’s parking lot began filling up with patrons eager to hunt down some great deals, as many retailers began offering their Boxing Week sale prices, while others offered special bargains just for Sunday.

Deals of 40, 50, 60 and even 75 per cent off certain items were available.

Due to the latest restrictions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the mall was limited to 50 per cent of its total capacity, and several retailers required patrons to line up outside of their stores, with a limit on guests permitted in at one time.

Masks were required except for when seated and consuming food and beverages in the food court, and hand-sanitizing stations were placed abundantly throughout the mall.
