European camping platform JetCamp raises €500K to accelerate growth

JetCamp, a Netherlands-based booking platform for campsites
and holiday parks, has raised €500,000 in its second round since launching in
November 2019.

Investors include the Falkensteiner Michaeler Tourism Group
(FMTG) and Cunningham Holding.

JetCamp’s website offers information such as availability
and pricing in 10 languages for nearly 23,000 verified campsites and holiday
parks across Europe. Bookings are made online to the accommodation or tour
operator, and payment is made directly at the campsite or holiday park.

The company says its site had four million visitors in 2021.
JetCamp says the impact of the pandemic has spurred the camping sector to grow
faster than other types of holidays across Europe.

“On the one hand, we see that more and more people want to
spend their holidays close to home and, on the other, that camping sites and
holiday parks are investing heavily in new (glamping) accommodations and in
greening and sustainability,” says Erwin Hoevenaar, co-founder of JetCamp.
