Brewster should be improved
Spring is in the air, which means it’s time to start thinking about the yearly town cleanup.
Please mark Saturday, April 23, on your calendars, with Sunday as the rain date.
The Cape Cod Anti-Litter Coalition, Inc. is one of the sponsors.
Inventive and foresightful survey
Brewster is initiating a campaign to encourage all of its people to contribute ideas to a plan for the neighborhood’s growth and change.
In 2018, Brewster prepared a Vision Plan with input from the community.
This plan has been the foundation for the selection board’s and committees’ decisions.
While the plan focused on the city’s character, natural assets, and economic system, the events of 2021 focused on what inhabitants want the city to be in the long run.
Brewster was given the opportunity to acquire the Sea Camps property, which consists of two pieces of open land on Cape Cod Bay and Lengthy Pond.
Brewster voters made it plain that they want to keep the town’s small-town vibe and rural nature, as stated in the Imaginative and prescient Plan.
Residents will decide how best to use this property and how best to address Brewster’s longer-term concerns.
The plan will include specific recommendations for city investments, zoning changes, land preservation, a nd affordable housing.
If you live in Brewster, whether part-time or full-time, this is another way to have your voice heard.
Over the next month, residents can participate in a survey and express their opinions in structured talks.
The survey can be found on the town’s website, brewsterma.gov, as well as at the Brewster Girls Library and Council on Aging.
It’ll be available till February 28th.
The following plan would be the Native Complete Plan) and deal with necessary areas, together with land use, housing, native economic system, zoning and rules, city buildings and amenities, and defending our coast and pure assets.

While in the distribution line, contributors are required to wear masks.

Housing is being replaced.
The Brewster Housing Manufacturing Plan is being replaced by the city.
The housing program has been governed for the last 5 years by the current five-year plan, which was approved by the Division of Housing and Group Growth in 2017.
Hiring a housing coordinator, establishing a Municipal Reasonably priced Housing Belief, and altering the accent dwelling unit bylaw were all ways originally stated in the current housing strategy.
The new strategy will include a needs assessment, goals, and execution strategies.
Community outreach will include an internet poll, small group interviews, focus groups, and neighborhood conferences over the next few months.
With the support of the Housing Partnership, Barrett Planning Group LLC will most likely be in charge of general public outreach.
Jill Scalise, Brewster Housing Coordinator, can be reached at [email protected] or 508-896-3701, ext. 1169, for more information.
